This book is called Stone fox. Its about a boy named willy finds out that his grandfather is sick in bed because he has no reason to live. Willy and his grandfather make their home on a potato farm in a place called Wyoming. When they work it is always fun for them and they also like to joke around. Now with Grandfather too unhappy to speak, Willy and Searchlight have to harvest the crop themselves. They need to rent a horse, but he finds out that they are broke. Willy and Searchlight plow the fields and harvest the potatoes, but when they show Grandfather the money they earned, Willy finds out that his Grandfather is still unhappy. Willy discovers that Grandfather needs 500 dollars to pay 10 years of tax on the farm, or they will lose the farm. what do you think they must do to earn that money?
It is a realistic fiction book. I like this book because I read it last year and I like the race that searchlight has to run to win to get the money. I would recommend this to people who likes realistic fiction and people who like races. I will give this book 5 stars.
