Memory Power! by Dhaval Bhatia

This is a book which talks about the techniques which is useful in memorizing names, faces, year dates, phone numbers, speeches, and other things. This book even tells us how to figure out which day of the week is just by knowing the date! The author says that the best ways to memorizing things are connecting word to pictures, making up stories out of the words to remember, and repeating the words to remember.

I liked this book because it explains the memorizing techniques very easily and shows us examples to  help the readers understand. Other reasons why I liked the book were that the memorizing techniques really work and it fascinated me.

I recommend this book to people who want to memorize things better because it helps you memorize everything.

book report- because of Winn-Dixie
by:Jaehoon Jeong

The summer Opal and her father, the preacher, move to Naomi, Florida, Opal goes into the Winn-Dixie supermarket-and comes out with a dog. A big, ugly, suffering dog but has a sweetheart and good sense of humor. A dog she dubs is named Winn-Dixie. Because of Winn-Dixie, the preacher tells Opal ten things about her absent mother, one for each year Opal has been alive. Winn-Dixie is better at making friends than anyone Opal has ever known, and together they meet the local librarian, Miss Franny Block, who once fought off a bear with a copy of War and Peace. They meet Gloria Dump, who is nearly blind but sees with her heart, and Otis, who sets the animals in his pet shop loose after hours, then lulls them with his guitar.

I think this book is very important because it tells even animals and things can make people happy and fun. For example in this book, all because of that ugly and big dog, Opal made so many friends. I think that is the reason why it is titled “Because of Winn-Dixie”. Furthermore, I think animals can think and do just like us or human. They can respond and react in different situation.

I really feel sorry for Winn-Dixie and thank to Opal because if Opal didn’t adopted Winn-Dixie, it would have suffered from hunger and sad. So I think I should adopt an animal or a kid when I grew older, if not possible, I would donate.

I really recommend this book to people who think that animals has no thinking and stupid. I want to tell them that animals can react and see just like us. Also, there is a very good movie for this story, I have watched it and I think you will understand better like me if u watch it.

Dead is the new black - Marlene Perez

I read 'Dead is the new black' by Marlene Perez, in November and it was so C-O-O-L. Its all about mystery and supernatural!(Good combination). Some of the  main characters are, Daisy Giordano, Poppy Giordano, Ryan Mendez, and Samantha Devereaux. Daisy has just got back from her summer vacation to Italy, but only with her sisters and her grandmother. Her mother is a psychic investigator, she works with Mr. Mendez/Ryan's dad, and she got caught up with a case in Italy, so her sisters and her are alone at home until their mom comes. Ryan is her boyfriend, he is a werewolf and he plays for the school's football team. Poppy, is Daisy's bigger sister and she is still upset with her ghost boyfriend. Samantha, is her best friend and her boyfriend, Sean, is best friends with Ryan, that's what Ryan thinks. Her neighborhood, Nightshade, has a lot of supernatural stuff going on, vampire, werewolf, but this time, it's 'Doppelgangers', they are an evil twin/clone of someone. Someone has been making them! She found out that one of her sister's boss, was a doppelganger. Doppelgangers have chunks of memories from the real twin but they love sugar, they would die without it~!. When she was 12, her dad left her family for an experiment(he was a scientist) and after he just disappeared, there are rumors that he started a new family but Ms. Giordano believes its about something else. While Daisy's mom was away, people kept saying Mr. Giordano is back in town, and once in the afternoon he went to her house and she was in shock, she saw the same keys and the same key chain she gave him '#1 dad'.He even had the same scent and handsome look. Could it be her real dad? Or is it a doppelganger? Should she call someone?

If you love a story that has a little bit of romance, mystery, and fantasy, than this is the right book! :D make sure you read her other books~ (Dead is a new state of mind, Dead is the new black).

I would rate this a...
