The Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins

Title: The Hunger Games: The First Book
Author: Suzanne Collins

Book Review #3

My Summary: This book is about a girl named Katniss Everdeen She has a sister named Primrose and a mother. Her father was killed while working in a mine because of a bomb. There are 12 districts, the 12th is the poorest district, but the capital is the ruler of panema (All of the districts). There is one president named Snow. The hunger games is where people are chosen from a bowl . Effie Trinket chooses one boy and one girl from each district to fight to the death. But Katniss wants to stop the hunger games.

My Opinion and reasons: My opinion about this book is that it has a lot of action. It can sometimes be an emotional book, and rarely has any humour which I like because sometimes it can get a bit boring and most of the time I would l like something Interesting to happen.

My Rating/Recommendation: I recommend this to people who like action and drama kind of books. I rate this 5 out of 5 stars.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

This book is about a girl, Beatrice Prior, who has to choose a faction to live in. There are 5 factions: Erudite, Candor, Abnegation, Amity and Dauntless . The aptitude test will give her the most probable factions where she won’t be factionless after initiation. But Beatrice’s test gives a different result and she will have to choose all on her own. Will she choose Abnegation, which is where she comes from or one of the other factions? It’s up to her to choose...

I liked this book because it had a lot of suspense and it was very intriguing. What I liked also was the fact that you always wanted to continue it. I had sort of guess which faction she chose when I saw the cover. But if I read this book, it’s because I had started to see the movie but I didn’t finish it so I was wondering what could happen.

I rate this book 4.5 stars because I really liked the suspense and adventurous part but there was parts that were less intriguing and that I enjoyed less. But it is still a very good book and I recommend it to people who like suspense and adventure.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

Thomas, the main character of this story, has somehow found himself in an unknown place called ‘the maze’ and no memories about what his life was like before he was put here. Now, he has to help the gladers, people that have also been trapped in the maze, find out how to escape without them all getting killed.
I thought that this book was boring at some points, but then suddenly became intense, making you not be able to put the book down even at boring parts because you know that something exiting will happen next. I thought this was a good book, but it ended very abruptly. I would rate this book 4 stars and recommend it to people that love the mystery genre.

The Death Cure

This book is about Thomas who tries to save the world from a deadly virus that makes people go crazy. Thomas is immune to the virus but his friend Newt isn’t. There is a organization called WICKED but WICKED will probably never find the cure for the virus. Thomas’s immune brain is needed to find the cure. What will Thomas do?

I think that at the end the book becomes very creepy. I think it will give you nightmares and it will make you feel like it is the end of the world.

I don’t recommend this book for people who do not like violent and creepy movies or stories. This is a great book if you want to have a nightmare or you want to win the scariest book competition. There are many boring parts in this book. I almost put my book down. But I will rate this 4/5 stars the reason it is 4/5 is because it was scary for me too.

He wants to go for battle school so he can follow in his fathers footsteps, but sadly he is not the right size he is too small. Nobody wants Will as their apprentice because of his size! But ONE wants him. One which everyone his scared of, Halt! Halt wants Will to be a Ranger and even Halt is a Ranger. Insurgent by
Veronica Roth

Insurgent is the second book of Divergent. The Divergent Series is about 4 fractions. Amity, Abnegation, Dauntless, Condor and Erudite. Amity the peaceful, Abnegation, the selfless, Dauntless the brave and Erudite the intelligent. The main character in this book is Tris or Beatrice. This book is called Divergent by Veronica Roth. It's a story about the faction system. The divergent threaten this system. The abigation think that caring for other people was needed to prevent the breakup of the world. The Edurite think that lack of intelligence for other people was needed to prevent the breakup of the world. The Dauntless think that strength was need to prevent the breakup of the world. The Lab, report written by Karthik

I had just finished some books and had no idea on what to read . . .  Then Ms. Hall came up and gave me The Lab, by Jack Heath.

The setting of this book is a corrupt world, where a company which by the name ChaoSonic, takes charge and rules the country. The poor are dead, all the continents have sunk, and the earth stands bare, with no atmosphere to protect it, and no plants. The company in charge of the small island, the only one left, has gone mad. They are going on a tracking frenzy and aim to replace the humans with robots.
In Science right now we are learning about Earth's History, and it would be a disaster if the world came into this state!
As a failed project nicknamed project Falcon, The Lab, part of the ChaoSonic company have spawned a human-robot, out of mechanical parts, and then something goes wrong. This humanoid is exactly like an infant, but starts punching through the security and escapes it's own birthplace, The Lab.
Later on, named Agent Six, he joins the only non-corrupt group of people in the world, The Deck.
The deck aims to stop all forms of corruption, and is filled with sane people volunteer to start a group, of people to stop ChaoSonic in any way it can. With new tech and gear, this association becomes a serious threat to the Lab and it's evil operations. But only the leader of the Deck, King, knows the real reason for the lab wanting to demolish the Deck Group, They wanted back Project Falcon a.k.a Agent Six of Hearts.
One day the Deck is uncovered, and stolen into the Lab to lure Agent Six of Hearts in. He comes. .

I would recommend you to read this book if you like sic-fi, and fantasy,  I really liked this book because the author takes you throughout the events that happen in the book. This reminds me of books like Ender's Game, which is also a fantastic book! This book gets % stars from me! [*****]

Ramu's Review on Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix

Among the Hidden is a really interesting and mysterious book. This book takes place in the future but it doesn't show advanced technology and modern stuff It's about the problems of the future and how third children are not allowed.

Third children were illegal because there wasn't enough food for everyone. In this book a kid named Luke Gardener is a third child.Luke has never been to school,he has never had a birthday party,Luke has never had a friend,he's lived his entire life hidden. When his parents leave the house and lock the door he looks at all the neighbours cars through the vent to check whether they all left. Then when they all left he looks through the other vent and astonishingly there was a girl inside the sportsman family's house,he thought to himself they are only to boys in the house who is this girl? robber? friend? cousin?.When the sportsman boys came in to the house after-school the boys behave normal so Luke figured out she's their sister which means she's a third child. So he makes a plan to go through the vent to her house, the first time he tries to go but he gets very scared. The next time he climbs a tree and enters her room. But she was very snobby and mean. The first day, so Luke asks her whether she's a third child and she says yes. Then she tells Luke her name which is Jenn. And then she tells her about her mom taking her to the shopping mall. Then they start to understand each other, then Luke started coming to her house everyday,Then they both become best friends. Then Jenn and Luke form a protest against third children. If you want to know what happen read this book. This book is really mysterious and fun.

I chose this book because I wanted to try something more mysterious but realistic fiction.I would recommend this book to people who are third children because they can make a lot of connections, People who like realistic fiction as well as mysterious stuff will enjoy this book.I would rate this book a 4.5/5.
