My Summary: In this story there is this girl called Judy Moody who wants be famous. Because her brother Stink got his picture on the newspaper so she really wants to be on the newspaper or on news. One day when she was playing with her friend her friend broke his arm. So she went to hospital with him and...Can she be famous? Read to check it out!

My Opinion and reasons: I think everyone will enjoy this book because it’s funny and they have many pictures to show. But maybe it’s really easy to read..

Smile by Raina Telgemeier

My Summary: This story is about a girl who loses her two front teeth when she trips and falls on the ground. Her long hurtful and painful journey starts since the accident occurred. She goes to a dentist almost everyday inserting new fake teeth, wearing braces and a headgear. During her journey, she breaks up with her boyfriend and realize her old friends turned out to be unfriendly. She hates her appearance with ugly metals on her teeth and acne on her skin. Would she be able to smile brightly as she did in the past?

My Opinion and reasons: I read this book in both English and Korean which made me to enjoy twice better. I liked how Raina overcame herself.

A Series of Unfortunate Events - The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket

Summary: Three Baudelaire children; Violet, Klaus and Sunny loose their parents by an unfortunate fire accident.  

They got adopted to Count Olaf, who’s a far related family. Count Olaf was a greedy man who was only concerned about Violet’s money and had an awful plan to take away. The children tried to send Count Olaf to the police office but unfortunately... he escaped. This is what happened in the last book.

In this story, three Baudelaire children got adopted to Mr. Montgomery. He was such a nice man who took care of Baudelaire children well. But one day, his new assistant, Stephano came to his house. The children noticed at once that Stephano is Count Olaf. The children were in panic. They tried to tell Montgomery but he didn’t believe what they were saying. One day, in the morning, children got up and went to the reptile room(library) and saw something terrible. They saw the corpse of Montgomery! It was sure that Count Olaf had kill him. But how can they prove it?

My Opinion and reasons: I really enjoyed reading this book because it was really interesting how children solved the mystery. Their evidences are really surprising so that I couldn't stop reading it. I highly recommend it to you.

Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator by Roald Dahl

My Summary: Charlie, the boy who was the winner of the chocolate factory. (In ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’). This story flows after Charlie win the test. Charlie, rode a Great Glass Elevator and experienced ridiculous thing. He saw a Space hotel called “U.S.A”. Charlie and his party went inside to the hotel. Unfortunately, they encountered monster. Guess what happened to them? After they traveled in space, they rushed through the chocolate factory. And, Mr. Wonka introduced his mysterious, unusual bottle to Charlie and his party. Inside the bottle, there was pills. It’s called “Wonka-vite. He explained the directions to Charlie’s grandparents. If we eat 1 pil, it will took them back to 20 years ago. Finally, they ate it.         

My Opinion and reasons: In my opinion, this book is really energetic and, cool. The reason why I think that way is because, author used word/ feeling that describe how characters fell into the trouble or how characters acting, feeling. The effect of great description in this book make readers follow the book.

   

My Rating/Recommendation: I recommend this book to someone who loves to read fantasy and mysterious story.

Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

This is a book about a boy in a holiday! And then he goes to a fight with his best friend and just routines his own times!

But before when they were friends, he used to go to this place where there were many activities! But then after his best friend goes away, he comes to a point where he can’t go in, so that is when the problem starts......

I think this book is good for the people who have siblings. Because this book is about a horrible life of a boy who has a brother!

I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars because I totally agree with the main character and is also there is a good text to the world who has problems with siblings.

My Summary:This book is about a 15 year old girl whose father

died from a gunshot to the chest.They live in a building above 7/11 were her father used to work.she has a little brother named John that is annoying to her all the time. Her mother  also a cat named Beth.

soon they move to mexico to live with her aunt and uncle.once there  does not have to go to school and decides to go on her aunt's bike and bike to the canyon.At the canyon she meets wolf and they become best friends. The day has come where they have to leave,But her mother throws a temper tantrum .So they have to stay,So that means has to go to school there.Judy hates the school but gets good friends there.Almost to the end they move back,but at the air port she turns around to see her aunt and uncle .Will she go o stay.

It is not detailed but,I like this book because it is a mostly true story of,the author.

I think this book is ⅗ stars because it does not have lots of detail.

Title: 1000 facts about space

My summery:This book is about the space, this book has step like first is universe, second pages are stars,third pages are sun...like that. this is not about a story, this is explain about universe. this is about universe, but this is about a rocket, etc, all about the universe. or space. and are you curious? read and find that!!!!!

My Opinion and reasons:

I think this is good read because this explain all about space and universe. IT ha s a timeline too.

My Rating/Recommendation:I give this book 5/5 star. recommend to who likes a universe. and who likes the science, and universe.I think this book is difficult to follow. but I like this book

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt

 

Winnie Foster, a teenager girl was living in the village. One day, Winnie escaped from domineering mother. She went to the wood near her home. On her way, she met the teenager boy name Jesse Tuck (Actually, he’s really old. But, the time stopped for Tuck’s family because, they drank the eternal water). She followed Jesse and, she met his family (Jesse Tuck, Mile Tuck, Angus Tuck, Mae Tuck). They were really kind and, nice to Winnie. She spend the time in their house. But, unfortunately,  the man in the yellow suit saw Winnie. So, she need to decide whether to go to her normal life or help Tuck’s family.

In my opinion, this book is really interesting because, the keyword is eternal. Everyone think that she/he wants to live forever, but, this book show whether it effects good or bad to our life, and the problem of eternal life. This book makes me think one more time of that part.

I recommend this book to someone who likes to read a book about adventurous, kind of mystery and, friendship. Rate: 4.8 out of 5.

Summer of the sea serpent by Mary pope Osborne

My Summary:

This book is about Annie and Jack who get a massage from magic tree house owner, and they started to solve the problem. Their goal is to find the sword. They found the sword but they met a very big sea serpent. They solve the problem and came back.

My Opinion and reasons:I think this book is very good book because Jack and Annie solve their problem very well. We can do visualizing easily.  

My Rating/Recommendation: I recommend this book for adventure lovers because this book is about adventure and this book is not boring and it’s very exciting.
