Divergent by Veronica Roth

This book is about a girl, Beatrice Prior, who has to choose a faction to live in. There are 5 factions: Erudite, Candor, Abnegation, Amity and Dauntless . The aptitude test will give her the most probable factions where she won’t be factionless after initiation. But Beatrice’s test gives a different result and she will have to choose all on her own. Will she choose Abnegation, which is where she comes from or one of the other factions? It’s up to her to choose...

I liked this book because it had a lot of suspense and it was very intriguing. What I liked also was the fact that you always wanted to continue it. I had sort of guess which faction she chose when I saw the cover. But if I read this book, it’s because I had started to see the movie but I didn’t finish it so I was wondering what could happen.

I rate this book 4.5 stars because I really liked the suspense and adventurous part but there was parts that were less intriguing and that I enjoyed less. But it is still a very good book and I recommend it to people who like suspense and adventure.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

Divergent+hc+c(2).jpg
This book is about a 16-year old girl who lives in a society which is divided by five groups of people: Dauntless, Abnegation, Amity, Erudite, and Candor. Every year, 16 year- old children choose a faction to live their whole life in. One thing is that if they choose a different faction from their parent’s faction, it means they betray their family forever. She chooses Dauntless, apart from Abnegation. But in Dauntless, with her dangerous secret that can take her life away, needs to hide her secret to save her life. Will she? If you want to know, let’s read it.

I think this is a great book because it shows us about a conflict between human nature and a faction system which force people to think that the group a person is in, is more important than that person’s family, which is against human nature, which made me think a lot. This book shows us that human nature is not changeable by any kinds of things people tries to change it.

I want to give 4 stars out 5 star for this book. I recommend you to read the book before you watch the movie because you can imagine more about the book, then watch the movie, which makes you compare your imagination and the story with the book.

Lorelei

I want to introduce the book name Lorelei, and this book is from the author name Harutoshi Fukui. This book is about a man name Masami who was the Lieutenant commander of Japan, he was left out with a job, and that job was to find a device name "Lorelei". That device was under the deep sea . And that device's power was so powerful. I like to introduce this book because the action is so awesome and the story is very deep. But this book has a problem and that problem is this book do not have a english version, they just have Japanese ver. and German ver. so If the English ver. is released, I will recommend to read this book!

The Tomorrow Code - Brian Falkner

I recently finished a book called 'The Tomorrow Code'. Rebecca and Tane knew each other almost since they were born. They went to the same schools. The are Best Friends For Ever and Since Ever. One day Tane asks Rebecca 'Is time travel possible?'. That is when it all began. Tane and Rebecca loved arguing with each other. This time they came up with something a high schooler would never come up with. So there mission began. They started getting messages from the future. Telling them things. They go on a mission they never thought they would go on. Rebecca's father had died, and her mom sat in front of the TV all day. Despite all the ups and downs in Rebecca's life she, Tane, and Tane's older brother Fatboy decide to go on the mission.

Will they be able to find out why they are getting the messages?
Will they find out what is happening that they need to stop?

Read to find out!

I would rate this book with:

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy Review

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy By Douglas Adams review
by Sture

The hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy is a series of science fiction comedy books written by Douglas Adam. The story is that "One thursday lunchtime the Earth gets unexpectedly demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass. For Arthur Dent, who has only just had his house demolished that morning, this seems already to be more then he can cope with. Sadly, however, the weekend  has only just begun, and the galaxy is a very strange and startling place". The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy is book one of 5 and i give the first one a 10 for it's comedy as "Ford... you're turning into a penguin... Stop it" if you want to have a fun adventure in space read it and have that fun adventure.

2001 a Space Odyssey

The book that I'm almost don with is 2001 A Space Odyssey. It's about a group of people that travel into deep space to find answers to calls from space. They travel from station to station, being guided by the famous computer Hal9000.  Their first stop is the moon. When they reach the moon, they get answers right away. As they touch down, things get really weird. They get their samples and leave. They reach mars and everything goes horribly wrong. If you want to find out what happens, this summer, read 2001 A Space Odyssey.   I rate this book a 5 star because the thought and the creativity in phenomenal.

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

I currently read the book Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. It is a science fiction.
It is about Tally Youngblood. She is fifteenth years old, she can't wait to turn sixteen. On her sixteenth birthday she is going to have surgery and turn pretty just like everyone else who is sixteen. The surgery made people look perfect. After they turn pretty they move into the town of pretties. The pretties don't have to work or go to school. For them every day is a party, all they do is to have fun. Tally's best friend Peri already turned pretty so she couldn't wait till she could join him in pretty town, but everything changed when she met Shay. Shay and Tally became really close friends. Unfortunately Shay didn't have the same opinion on turning pretty as Tally did. Shay thought there was nothing special about looking pretty like everyone else. She didn't think that people beneath sixteen was ugly, she thought they looked normal. Everyone Tally knew wanted to be pretty just as much as she wanted to be pretty herself, everyone except Shay. Shay made her decision. She ran away. The choice Shay made affected Tally's life forever.

I am giving the book 4 stars.
My sister recommended this book to me because I didn't have any other books to read. I think that mainly girls would like this book. Mostly because the story is seen from a girl's point of view.
Uglies reminds me about The Hunger Games because both of the stories takes place in the future. You can especially feel that in Uglies, because she lives in a world with very high and advanced technology.
