Ring of Fire by P. D. Baccalario

I currently finished the book called "Ring of Fire". “Ring of Fire” is the first book of the century series by author “ P.D Baccalario”. This book revolves around 4 main characters. Each from a different city. Harvey from New York, Elettra from Rome, Mistral from Paris, and Sheng from Shanghai and how they all meet in Rome. They journey to find the ring starts in Rome when a mysterious man hands them a suitcase when blake out happences. The first common factor they discover is that they are all born on February 29th. As they go on to find this ring they find out that they are not alone and they have many enemies trying to stop them.

The author has done a wonderful job mixing mystery and adventure. It is fast paced and fun filled.  It has so many grasping moments that it was difficult to stop reading to unravel the next scene. It teaches its young readers a bit about Rome. In my opinion this book appeals to the right audience that the author has chosen. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This book flows with so much ease. The language is mostly simple with some challenging words in parts of the chapters. It draws mostly middle school readers and the language used is appropriate for these readers to understand and enjoy. The size of the chapters are between  10 to 15 pages which makes it readable.
