Flyte by Angie Sage

Over the break I finished the second book in the Septimus Heap series, Flyte. Let me tell you, if you have read the first book in the series, Magyk and you liked that, then you'll loooove this.

In case you didn't know, Silas and Sarah Heap have 8 children, 7 of them are boys and the one girl they have is adopted. Her name is Princess Jenna. Another child of theirs was thought to be dead. 4 of them live in the Forest and hunt and gather food. And the last child works at a boatyard! But wait... that's only 7 children. So what's the other doing? The 8th child, Simon, is actually the oldest sibling they have. Except nobody knows where he has been or what he's been doing. So, one day, Simon mysteriously showed up at the castle riding a Darke horse, and wearing a Darke cloak. His skin was extremely pale and slightly gray-colored. The one thing that hadn't changed about him was his very curly, ginger colored hair. It ran in the family, only the males had it though. He rode his horse right into the castle and went straight to see his only sister. (That's not what he called her) He found her with his mother, and after some hugs and kisses and all of that mushy-gushy stuff, he offered to take Jenna for a ride. And as they were riding, Jen realized she didn't like how fast Simon was going. She screamed for him to slow down, but Simon just yelled, "SHUT UP!" and went faster. It was then that Jenna realized that the Darrke changes in Simon's behavior were taking him over, and it didn't take her long after that to put together the puzzle and realize that Simon was kidnapping her!!

Will Jenna's brother Septimus (the one thought to be dead) save her?
Will she come back alive?
Where is she going?
Will she escape?

I would rate this book 5 stars, it's AWESOME!!!
If you like AWESOME books, read this one.
I suggest you read the first one first, so that you'll understand this better.
You can find them both in the library.
