Summary
This Book is about a boy called Stanley who goes to a work camp for boys, for stealing shoes. His parents can't hire a lawyer so he is stuck there. He meets new friends who nickname him "Caveman". They are forced to dig holes in a dry riverbed and Stanley wants to know why many years ago Kate Barlow fell in love with Sam the onion man who was shot dead in the river. I think this was an Extremely good read because of a few things:
- Never-Ending Mystery
- Leaves you thinking about it
- Plays 2 timelines
I recommend this book for mystery lovers and people who like cliffhangers. At Every Point in the story Something is a mystery. The book is easy to follow, and I think it is a great book to read to the class!
