Magyk by Angie Sage

I just finished a book called Magyk, the author is Angie Sage and it is part of a series called Septimus Heap. Let me just say... PURE AWESOMENESS!!!! It's amazing, my favorite series is Harry Potter, but this is very close behind. It is set in a world of magic, spells, and a whole lotta fun! 

The story is about the Heap family, just a normal family of Ordinary Wizards. Their 7th and youngest son Septimus has just died, and Silas, (the father) finds a baby girl he found alone in the forest and brings her home. Silas and Sarah (the mother) name her Jenna and raise her as their own. 
Jenna finds out that her birthmother was actually the (murdered) Queen. Jenna's life is in danger, people, bad people are trying to kill the new princess. The Extraordinary Wizard, Marcia Overstrand swoops to the rescue, taking Jenna/the princess away from her home and into hiding. If the wizard world wants to return back to normal, Jenna is their last hope. When she is old enough, she will become Queen and set everything back to normal. But, will Jenna live long enough to take over?
