Chancey of the Maury River by Gigi Amateau

This book is written from the point of view of an albino appaloosa horse named Chancey. His mother died when he was a young colt. When the stable he had lived at for his entire life went broke, he was moved to another nearby stable; the Maury River Stables. There he meets his best friend Mac, or Macadoo. It is also where he is diagnosed with cancer in his eyes. He is taken care of and trained to be a therapeutic school horse.

My opinion of this book is that it was excellent! I think this because When Chancey goes blind, the description in the book helps you imagine what it is like to be blind. You can really understand the feelings of the characters.

My rating is 10 out of 10! This was a heartwarming read, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes horses, or anyone in general! This is a beautiful book.
